What responsibilities go along with Board membership?

Attendance at the monthly Board meetings is, of course, expected and required, but there are other important activities board members participate in. Because our Production Manager handles the hands-on work of launching and managing production needs, our PSP Board of Directors is now evolving and growing into a working board responsible for business and marketing areas of our theatre company. Board members participate in community outreach, fund raising, and committees to promote our theatre.  

What kind of people are you looking for on the Board?

We look for people who will be active participants in our theatre company . We seek people who are dependable; people who commit to helping our business grow by showing up, sharing ideas, and saying "Yes!" We want Board members who will commit to chairing committees focused on membership, technical areas, community projects, fundraising, house management, events planning etc.

How and when do I nominate someone for an office?

You may nominate a member three ways; call 650-359-8002 before November 7th and leave a message with your name and number, along with the name and number of the person you are nominating or you can mail or email the form to the Office Admin, Ruth Amber

Be sure this person has accepted your nomination and is willing to serve in full capacity as a PSP Board member. Our President will then contact the nominee with more information about elections.

If I am elected, what will my time commitment be?

Board members serve in many different capacities depending on what is happening in any given month (for example, show openings, community events, etc.). But on average, each Board member spends about 10 hours per month working specifically on theatre business and events.

Nominations must be received by November 7th / Elections held on December 7th
